Leading throughout the entire game, an informal Freshman basketball team, composed of Yardlings who work out at Hemenway Gymnasium, trounced Browne and Nichols' Varsity yesterday, 71-24.
Organized by C. A. Pearson 3L, the Hemenway outfit led 41-8 at half-time, and completed the rout in the final periods.
Dick Karb led the scoring with sixteen markers, and Andy Crichton, Saul Marlas, and Joe Brogatti each contributed ten points to the victor's total. Bob Cross and John Steppacher completed the team which captured its first organized contest.
