Doctor Martin H. Spellman, Prominent Boston physician and surgeon, and Medical Examiner for the Boston Fire Department, will deliver and illustrated lecture on "Resue Work and First-Aid" to and A. R. P. first-aid class Tuesday night. The place has not yet been announced.
Methods or removing people from flaming buildings and applying first-aid to burned or injured victims will be featured in the address.
These techniques of evacuating victims and administering first-aid will be fully demonstrated by the doctor and a group of assistant firemen. Equipment will include a pullmotor, special legless stretchers, and several types of gas-masks.
Doctor Martin's talk is activated by his experience with Boston's recent tragic fires in East Boston and the Cocoaunt Grove.
