CRIMSON PASS DEFENSE TOPS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A contender for pass defense honors among the nation's football teams all season, the Crimson ended up tied for first place with Texas Mines in this department, it was announced yesterday. The figures don't tell the whole story though for some of the few passes that were completed against Harvard, by Yale, Dartmouth, and Princeton, were good for costly touchdowns.

Although no members of the Harvard football team were chosen for the first and second All-Eastern elevens by the United Press, two players, Captain Don Forte stellar end, and Charlie Gudaitis, Sophomore guard, received honorable mention on the listings.

In spite of the fact that neither saw as much action as some of the other members of the squad, Forte, because of his early-season injury, and Gudiatis, because of his lightness; both were standouts on the defense.
