Despite the suspension of regular rowing at New Haven, the Harvard-Yale regatta may have its 82nd consecutive running this spring, with the Charles taking the place of the traditional Thames or Housatonic.

Yale's abandonment of the sport was forced by the Adee boathouse in New Haven being taken over by the Coast Guard. If transportation to the Bob Cook boathouse at Derby can be arranged, the Ells will have informal crew practice and come to Cambridge to row a borrowed shell. Head coach Ed Leader, at Yale since 1922, was dropped from the payroll, as was the entire crew staff.
