MEMORIAL SERVICES HELD FOR CREW BENEFACTOR

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Memorial services for Robert F. Herick '90, who died on October 13, were held yesterday afternoon in Memorial Chapel at four o'clock. Conducted by the Reverend Palfrey Perkins, the services lasted for about half an hour and were quite simple.

Known as the "Father of Harvard Crew", Herrick was tremendously interested in all Harvard sports and had countless friends in the University.

The Reverend Mr. Perkins recalled Herrick's warmth and generosity (it was his custom to donate a shell to the crew every year) and his strict following of the sportsman's code.
