Newest evidence of the University's participation in the war is a building now being constructed near Pierce Hall, solely to house a secret research project that is under the direction of the Cruft Laboratory.
Although work has been going on at the project for only a few weeks, the foundations and much of the wall space has now been completed, but no estimate on when the building will be finished has yet been offered. It is replacing a dilapidated frame house which was at one time used by the College.
