Outlining a program of forums, large public meetings, and small study groups under Faculty guidance, the Council on Post-War Problems is setting out on its second year under the direction of its new president, Louis H. Cohen, '43.
The forums will present three men, faculty or outside experts on post-war problems, in discussions open to all members of the University. After the speeches there will be questions from the floor, Prominent speakers such as Reinhold Niebuhr and former Premier Paul Van Zeeland of Belgium will headline the big meetings.
At the open meeting Wednesday night Ralph Barton Perry, Edgar Pierce Professor of Philosophy, said that while wining the war is the country's first duty, consideration of post-war problems is of paramount importance now as a propaganda weapon for victory.
