Open to all '46ers, a month's competition for Freshman crew manager, highlighted by the Dartmouth race October 23, will get under way officially tonight at 7:30 o'clock with a preliminary meeting in the Managers' office in the H.A.A.
Although the crew season will be greatly curtailed by the war, Manager Russell Sibley '44 promises a very interesting competition. Opportunity will be given to meet not only one's classmates but also important figures in the sporting world.
The work will count for athletic credit, but it is no easy way out of compulsory physical training. If the candidates show the initiative and executive ability to win this post, they may be asked to compete again for Varsity manager.
