House Football Schedules Will Be Announced Today

Touch League Will Kick Off Tomorrow

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At a meeting of the House athletic secretaries today Adolph Samborski '26, director of House athletics, will distribute the schedules for the fall House touch and tackle football leagues.

The touch schedule starts tomorrow, but the other teams will not be ready to swing into action until a week from this Thursday. More conditioning work for tackle players is necessary to got them in shape for the rough and tumble tactics that most of them haven't indulged in since last fall.

Players Get Stiff Drill

Yesterday the candidates, numbering around 350, split up, according to their positions of either linemen, ends, or backfield players and worked out under coaches appointed to take charge of the different departments.

All of them had to go through the rigers of falling on their faces, getting up, and trotting around before hitting the dust again. Linemen practiced two on one blocking, and the backs and ends worked on quick starts and running.

Coaches Take Over Own Squads

After this the players reported to their own coaches for some tactical practice and more individual training. Several of the coaches taught their squads a couple of basic plays which were then run off.

On some squads centers, ends, and backs cooperated in passing drills with quick relays from center to back to end.
