Swimming Attracts Most of Yardlings For Winter Sport

The figures released last Friday on the Freshman winter sports activities show that swimming is still leading in popularity and has, in fact, increased tis fall total of 249 to 262. Squash, which is only a winter sport, is in second place with 149 players, probably having absorbed a large number of the 177 yardlings who played tennis in the fall.

One hundred and thirty-seven are participating in the special corrective exercises held in the indoor Athletic Building; and 99 are still out for crew, winter weather notwithstanding.

Here are the other Freshman sports with the number of participants in each: basketball 99, track 69, gymnasium 46, boxing 36, hockey 32, fencing 27, and wrestling 25.
