Marine Corps Officer Will Interview College Men Soon

To supplement the recent CRIMSON roundup stating opportunities and requirements for enlistment in every branch of the armed services, A. James Casner, professor of Law and head of the Student Defense Service Committee, has further explained that at present it is impossible for University men to enlist in Boston for the Marine Corps.

Instead all candidates should wait until February, when a Marine officer will come to Harvard to interview them. Applicants for the Marine Corps may be Sophomores over 18. Juniors over 19, and Seniors over 20 years of age.

If accepted, college men will probably be inducted into the Marine Corps Reserve, and remain on an inactive status until graduation. However special conditions may necessitate their being called to active duty before receiving their degrees.
