Allowing their opponents only seven third places, Hal Ulen's Varsity swimmers displayed fair to middling form in chalking up a lopsided 68-7 victory over Greenwood Memorial last Saturday night.

"Tiny" Gorman finally did what he has been threatening to do all season, when he upset Bus Curwen in the 220 yard free style. His time was 2:22.5. "Big John" Eusden also turned in one of the best performances of the meet when he took the 50-yard free style and shaved his time down to 24.7. Shaw McCutcheon, who had yet to compete this year because of a trick shoulder, came back with a vengeance and won the diving event handly by amassing a total of 108.8 points.

Prior to the Varsity meet, the Yardling natators won their first meet this season, easily outpointing Brooklino High by a score of 45-21.
