Surprised officials at University Hall announced yesterday that the Draft has had no effect at all on the House rooming situation. Prophetic Housemasters had imagined swarms of students coming back and finding that their roomates had been drafted over the summer, because that is exactly what happened in 1914-1918.

If there is any dearth of applications at all, it will not become evident till November, when the House waiting lists might be smaller than usual.
