55 Harriers Report To Mikkola For Practice

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Approximately 30 Varsity and 25 Freshman candidates reported to Coach Jaakko Mikkola for the first session of cross country practice Monday afternoon.

Last year's number one man, Bob Jay, was among the missing yesterday and according to Mikkola he may not be able to run at all this fall because of an extraordinarily heavy academic schedule.

Mikkola is counting heavily on last year's Yardling captain, Bill Palson, to fill in the gap left by Jay's absence.

The following men make up the squad: W. R. Arnold '44, R. P. Emerson '43, N. N. Griffith '42, J. S. Jillson '44, R. B. Kent '44, W. C. Palson '44, F. W. Phinney '43, A. J. Pifer '44, C. H.
