Harvard Faculty to Aid In Extension Courses

University extension courses on the future of democracy, international relations, and current economic problems will be among the 29 offered this fall and winter to Greater Boston adults by the Commission on Extension Courses, representing 11 local educational institutions.

Most of the courses will start September 29 and 30, but the first course meeting will be held this Saturday (September 20) when members of the course on general botany will meet at the Forest Hills gate of the Arnold Arboretum at 2 P.M. for the first of a series of field lessons. Associate Professor Ralph H. Wetmore will teach this course.

The courses this year will be offered by 27 Faculty members from Harvard, Tufts, Simmons, Boston University, and Wellesley.

The fields of instruction will be astronomy, botany, economics, English, fine arts, geography, biology, government, history, music, philosophy, psychology, sociology and zoology. Also, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
