Finishing in the black by a very wide margin for the first time in its history, the Union Committee has spent its $160 profit of the year for a combination radio and record player, new records for the Union Record Library, and additional books for the Library.
The player, a resplendent mahogany R. C. A. machine, has already been purchased and is now in the Lower Common Room of the Union. In explaining the phenomena, George Saxton '41, Union Committee chairman, said, "The large attendance at our dances was mainly responsible for the profit."
