Twelve awards totalling $7,800 for study at the Law School during the next academic year were announced yesterday, as follows:

Brandels research followship, to be awarded to a person specially invited by the Faculty of Law to pursue research, to Edmund H. Schwenk, of New Orleans, LL.M. Tulane University '41.

Emmons scholarship to Arthur Manella, of Los Angeles; candidate for LL.B. University of Southern Calfornia '41.

Sidney Thompson Fairchild scholarships to Peter F. Coogan, of Needham, candidates for M.A. Boston University '41; and Leslie Boslaugh, of Lincoln, Nebraska, candidate for LL.B. University of Nebraska '41.

Robert Darrah Jenks scholarship, for a graduate studying Railroad Law, to Royal H. Brin Jr., of Austin, Texas; candidate for A.B. and LL.B. University of Texas '41.

Langdell scholarships to Joseph D. Block, of Marinette, Wisconsin, candidate for LL.B. University of Wisconsin '41; and Arthur LeR. Ellsworth, of Norman, Okla, candidate for LL.B. University of Oklahoma '41.

Research fellowships to Henry B. Gardner Jr., of Providence, Rhode Island, LL.B. '33; and Bernard S. Jefferson, of Washington, D.C., LL.B. '34.

Research scholarships to Howard M. Kohn, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, candidate for LL.B. University of Minnesota '41; Robert F. Ritchie, of Dallas, Texas, candidate for LL.B. Southern Methodist University '41; and Richard B. Townsend, of Bloomington, Indiana J. D. University of Iowa '40.
