In an attempt to speed recreational aid to draftees, American Defense, Harvard Group yesterday published another appeal to students in the University to contribute books, magazines, furniture, musical instruments, and sports equipment for the trainees at Camp Meade.
Three truckloads of magazines have already been sent, but these have been hardly enough to fill the need and were mostly contributed by libraries and common-rooms throughout the college. Social welfare institutions are not allowed to work within the camp, and consequently student contributions are of particular importance.
American Defense will collect articles from students' rooms if notified at Kir. 7600, Ext. 544. Collection points are the Superintendent of Caretakers Office, Lehman Hall; Superintendent's Office, Morgan Hall; and Superintendent's Office, Vanderbilt Hall.
