A twelfth inning rally in which Crimeditor Peto Dammann scored 21 times gave a surprise twist to the 1941 edition of the Lampy-Crimson baseball encounter, from which the Newsmen finally emerged victorious, edging the Gentlemen Wits 23 to 2.

Brilliantly costumed journalists mingled with solgne funnymen in a pre-game reconciliation tea party at 14 Plympton Street. Dammann '42 was credited with the outstanding contribution to the costumeric of the afternoon.

A real honest-to-goodness fire engine conveyed and conveyed the contestants to the field of play by a devious route which included Radcliffe. P. Dammann entertained all concerned with renditions of his favorite songs.
