Marching to the stirring tune of "Anchors Aweigh," 465 members of the Harvard Reserve Officers Training Corps brought their season to a close yesterday afternoon at Soldiers Field when they passed in review before Major - General James A. Woodruff, Commanding General of the First Corps Area.
Over 1500 spectators, including such dignitaries as President Conant, President-emeritus Lowell, Chairman Robert H. Shortly before 1:45 o'clock, the dismounted battalions formed under the elms in the quadrangle in front of Widener, and, preceded by a band from Fort Devens and the Regimental Commander with his staff, marched through the Square to Soldiers Field amidst shouts of "You're in the Army now."
At precisely 2:30 o'clock General Woodruff his staff, and the distinguished guests arrived from Dillon Field House, and were welcomed by a 18 gun salute from the line of 75's assembled on the far side of the field. The General, Conant, Lowell, Hallowell and Colonel Jay did the reviewing while Major Clarence inspected the troops.
Following the review, an order announcing the year's awards was read by Lieutenant-Colonel Quentin Roosevelt '41. Eight awards were pinned on khaki chests by Woodruff and other members of the reviewing stand.
