The Crimson nine underwent a scalping at the hands of the Indians yesterday at Soldiers Field to the tune of 9 to 3. With Bud Waldstein on the bench, Brackett allowed five hits in the first two innings before he was replaced by Burgy Ayres.

The Dartmouth batters began their afternoon's win with singles by Jones, Orr, and Lendo. A walk for West pushed the first score in and a single by Koslowski made the second tally. An error by right-fielder Parsons accounted for West's promenade across home plate.

Harvard succeeded in holding the Indian onslaught with a double play in the third after West Was thrown out on a grounder near first base. Koslowski grounded out to third-baseman Whittemore, who pegged it to Tully for a putout at first. Tully returned the ball to Whitte-more, who caught Daniels trying for third and completed the double play.

The Crimson's inning was the fifth. Whittemore was tossed out at first when he grounded to short-stop. After a single to left field, catcher Regan advanced to second when Sexton walked Ayres. A single by Keyes loaded the bases. Bart Harvey slammed a low single just left of second, bringing in Regan and Ayres. Parsons fanned and Sexton caught a foul by Tully to end the inning.

In the seventh, Dartmouth brought in three more runs when Lando belted out a homer and West a two-bagger. A double play by Keyes, Harvey, Tully, and Regan ended the running streak.

Meanwhile, the '44 nine overcame the Brown Freshmen 7-2 on an adjoining field.
