Turkey Waits Nazi Demands

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

ISTANBUL--Turkey tonight awaited "most important diplomatic" developments, probably including a Nazi demand that Turkey keep her hands off German shipping passing through the Dardanelles in connection with intensification of warfare in the middle east.

German Ambassador Franz Von Pappen, accompanied by a high official of the Wilhelmstrasse, was due to arrive in Ankara tonight or early tomorrow, according to pliable quarters.

It was thought here that the Dardanelles demand may be the chief one to be presented by Von Papen.
