Coach Mercer Beasley's Princeton tennis team swept every match to swamp the Crimson Varsity 9 to 0 Friday afternoon on the Divinity Field courts.
The contests, however, were much closer than the score indicates. Four of the matches went to three sets and Russ Ellis even had match point on his Tiger opponent only to lose it and the set.
One of the most exciting singles contests was between Homer Peabody and S. Ham at the number four spot. Ham finally won in three long sets 5-7, 6-4, 9-7. In the three doubles affairs, Princeton threew in fresh teams to defeat the rapidly tiring Crimson players.
