Outsailing all but one of its 17 college opponents, the dinghy tars of the Crimson chalked up 109 points to take runner-up honors behind Princeton in the races for the Morss Cup in the Intercollegiate Dinghy Racing Championship on the Charles River Basin yesterday afternoon.
Outstanding skipper on the river was Lennie Romangia of Brown who captured several firsts in his ten starts, pushing the Bears total up to 108, one point behind the Crimson. Skipper Roger Wilcox '41 and John S. Winship '41, sailed one of the Cantab boats while Robert B. Sherwood '13 and Arthur L. Besse '42 handled the other.
Favored M.I.T. who copped first place in the qualifying round Friday finished a close fourth with a score of 104. Twice disqualified in the course of ten races, the Engineers swept through the field in the other eight runs, finishing only 15 points behind Princeton's first place score of 119.
Northeastern followed close behind the Techmen's stern with 101, pursued by Dartmouth and Yale who tied for sixth with a low 71.
