In order to present clearly and specifically to students at New England and Middle Atlantic colleges the career opportunities lying open in various fields of government work, Yale University will hold a conference over the weekend of April 18 at which many people prominent in public life have been invited to speak.
Among those listed to speak are Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt, President Conant, Governor Leverett Saltonstall, and Governor Robert A. Hurley. The keynote address of the conference on "A Career in Public Service" will be delivered either by Fiorello H. LaGuardia, mayor of New York City or Hugh Wilson, former ambassador to Germany.
Headquarters of the conference will be in Dwight Hall on the Old Campus. The entire discussion will be divided into four sessions, two general meetings and two groups of round table meetings. Speakers at the general meetings will be those whose work encompass all branches of government activity, while the round table meetings will be confined to career work in specific fields of public activity.
Overnight accommodations for Friday night, April 18, will be provided for all delegates who require them at the Hotel Taft. Tea and informal discussion late Saturday will conclude the program.
