With only three of the first team taking part, the Varsity tennis forces swamped the M. I. T. Varsity 9 to 0 yesterday afternoon on the Divinity Field courts, dropping only one set in nine matches.

Jim Jenkins, playing Freeman in the first singles position, won a long three set match 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. Russ Ellis gained a two set decision over katz in the second singles slot 6-4, 6-3, while Howle Ezell, the only other regular, who usually plays in the last singles position, defeated Herron 6-1, 6-3.

Aubrey Gould, Lindley Burton, and Keith Symon, in the next three singles matches, each won two-set victories.

Harvard swept the doubles as Gould and Daniels, Jenkins and Ezell, and Clarke and Frothingham each conquered their opponents in straight sets.
