Hoddermen Tangle With R.I. State in First College Meet

Clark Hodder's Varsity linksmen get their first taste of intercollegiate competition this afternoon when they tangle with the Rhode Island State golfers at the Belmont Country Club.

The tentative Crimson lineup consists of Don Peddle, Pete MacGowan, Don Elbel, Captain Watty Dickerman, Gerry Davis, and Bill Allis in that order. This is not definite, however, and either Ted Allis or Bob Paine may be used in one of the last three places.

Playing over its won home course, the Harvard golf squad is a slight favorite over the visiting Rams.
