PEACE GROUP PLANS STRIKE

Meeting last night, the Harvard-Radcliffe Joint Peace Strike Committee decided on next Wednesday at 11 o'clock for its outdoor peace demonstration, pending permission from the Dean.

Breaking its long-standing precedent, the Radcliffe "News" sent an official representative to the committee. Also represented at the meeting were the Harvard Committee Against Military Intervention and the Harvard and Radcliffe Student Unions.

As determined by the committee, the official policy of the peace strike will be "no convoys, no A.E.F." with a subordinate plank against racial discrimination in the armed forces, which constitutes almost complete acceptance of the program advanced by the temporary committee.

Robert G. Nassau '42, of the Harvard Student Union, Paul Hoover 2G, of the Committee, Against Military Intervention, Miss Rita Vallish, Radcliffe '44, of the Radcliffe "News," were appointed to the Program Committee and empowered with the general direction of the strike.

Dave P. Bennett '42, of the Harvard Student Union and appointed chairman of the speakers committee for the strike, is trying to arrange a group of speakers including at least one labor leader for the demonstration.
