In an opinion issued yesterday, Robert T. Bushnell '18, attorney general of the Commonwealth, stated that the State Department of Public Health may cooperate with Dr. Edwin J. Cohn and his staff in the Department of Physical Chemistry in processing 4,000 grams of human blood which may be used in transfusions for the Red Cross.
The blood, given to the Red Cross by donors, will be distributed to Surgeon Generals of the Army and Navy. The work of processing will be undertaken with the financial aid of the Division for Medical Science of the National Research Council.
