OUTING CLUB MEMBERS TAKE FIRST AID COURSE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Eight members of the Outing Club will soon take their "final-examinations" in a six weeks first-all course being given at the Garland School in Boston under the auspices of the newly formed Boston Metropolitan Ski Patrol, a branch of the National Ski Patrol.

The purpose of the students, who spend two hours two nights a week at the school, is to learn how to provide first-aid so that the Club may establish a policy of sending a practiced safety patrolman with every long trip.

First aid instruction for skiing trips is stressed particularly, but the course is general enough to include work in first aid for all kinds of eventualities. When the student passes the course, he is given a badge and a safety belt containing the standard amount of equipment.
