BOSTON MAY BE MAT COACH

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Because of the resignation of Pat Johnson, Varsity wrestling coach, the grapplers are being thrown by the problem of who will succeed him. Official H.A.A. News sources refuse to disclose the name of his successor, but it is generally expected that Clarence E. Boston will take over Johnson's duties next year.

"Chief" Boston, Freshman wrestling and football coach, wrestled at Harvard and won top honors in the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Championship in the heavyweight class. He also played blocking back on the football team under Captain Bobby Green. With the present budget cut looming high in the athletic financial horizon, it is expected that the new coach will have to double up with Freshman and Varsity wrestling duties.

Johnson announced his resignation yesterday. While an undergraduate at Harvard, he captained his Freshman and Varsity wrestling teams and in 1933, he was the New England Intercollegiate Champion in the 145-pound class. He started coaching while in the Law School.
