Gilbert F. Whittemore '42, regular third baseman on Floyd Stahl's varsity team, will enter the Record-American grand candlepin bowling championships beginning on March 29.
Whittemore was the runner-up in the Intercollegiate championships last year, when he lost to Albert Touissant of the Tufts Dental School. In this tournament he ran up the high total of 326 on three strings, and was only beaten by three points.
He will team up with his brother, Arthur Whittemore, in the men's doubles, and he believes that he has a good chance to win his title as well as the individual medal.
