Bill Drucker and Captain Frannie Powers were the only Crimson swimmers of the nine entered to qualify yesterday for the finals of the Eastern Intercollegiate League's Fourth Invitation Meet at Annapolis.
Backstroker Drucker easily captured first for the 150 yard distance in his specialty. His time of 1:43.4 was more than three seconds slower than his Yale meet clocking which only netted him a second.
Powers, who recently squelched Yale's famed freestyler Johnson with 2:14.5 for the furlong, qualified with a slow 2:15.2, finishing fourth in his heat. Tomorrow's finals will be a more strenuous test for the tankmen, as they will meet the champion college swimmers of the East.
