Law, Language, Politics, Golden Mean Among Series of Lectures

Dr. Hu Shih, Chinese Ambassador to the United States, and Dr. Yu-tang Lin. noted author, will be speakers in a new series of public lectures on the general subject "Chinese Thought," sponsored by the Chinese Student Club.

In the first lecture of the new series, tomorrow night. Dr. Serge Elisseeff, professor of Far Eastern Languages, of Harvard, will speak on the subject. "The Polarity of Chinese Thought" at 8 o'clock in Emerson Hall D.

Subsequent lectures in the series will be: February 12, by Dr. I. A. Richards, of Cambridge University, England now University Lecturer at Harvard. February 19, "Rhythm and Structure in Chinese Word Conceptions," Professor V. R Chao, Yale University; February 26, "Chinese Political Thought," Professor Arthur N. Helcombe, of Harvard; March 5, "Comparative Law in China," Professor Roscoe Pound, former Dean of the Harvard Law School; March 12, "A Reconstruction of the Golden Mean According to Confucius," Dr. Yu-tang Lin; March 19, by Professor W. E. Hocking, of Harvard; and March 26, by Dr. Hu Shih.

The lectures are open to the public without charge
