Garber Privately Tells Faculty That Harvard Must Rethink Messaging After GOP Victory
Backers of the movement for Faculty approval of the NYA at Harvard decided in a meeting last night to sever their connections with the HSU and all other committees, in an effort to make the issue purely one of the NYA's merits.
As originators of the committee made known two days ago, they will circulate a questionnaire throughout the University Monday and Tuesday to determine the students' attitude toward aid.
The questionnaire will ask undergraduates and graduate alike whether they need work, and if so what kind they would prefer. Also on the list of people to be quizzed are department heads, who will tell what employment they can offer.
At present, the committee is leaderless, but will meet in the near future to formulate the petition and to elect a chairman.
