Thirteen nominations for the 1942 Class Album Committee were announced last night by John C. Robbins '42, Chairman of the Junior Album Nominating Committee. He was assisted in his nominations by Coles Phinizy '42 and David B. Stearns '42.
From these 13 men, three will be chosen in elections taking place on March 4 and 5, and two more Juniors will be picked in competition.
Management of the elections is in the hands of a committee of the following Seniors: Henry Hornblower, 2nd, chairman, and Edward P. Allis, 4th, Stanley O. Beren, Lynn A. Brua, Jr., Roger A. Clapp, John M. Cregor, Charles Gilflx, Jr., William P. Given, Joseph A. Hartman.
George G. Haydock, Maurice F. Healy, Jr., William H. Healy, David D. Henry, H. Gray Hutchinson, Paul Kerins, Thomas Lacey, 2nd, Richard S. Lane, Roger J. Lee, Jr., Duncan Longcope, W. Donald McSweeney, Harry K. Mansfield, James J. Pattee, Jr., Homer D. Peabody, Jr., Roger S. Schafer, John P. Schwede, Francis M. Simpson, Jr., and Augustus Thorndike, 3rd.
After the Committee has been elected, it will pick its own chairman and will be responsible for the 1942 Class Album.
This is the first year that any men have been selected for the Album Committee by a competition. In other years all five members have been elected, but by a Student Council decision last year it was decided that the Album should also be open to two men who go through an actual business competition instead of simply getting votes.
Additional nominations can be made by petitions bearing 25 signatures of members of the Junior Class. Petitions should be submitted to the Student Council office in Phillips Brooks House.
