1944 Lacrosse Team Opens Practice This Afternoon

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

About 25 prospective Yardling lacrosse players, many of them promising men who have played on their prep school teams, reported last night at a preliminary meeting in the Chess Room of the Freshman Union.

By drawing its equipment this afternoon, this year's squad starts practice earlier than any previous Freshman lacrosse team in an effort to break the Yale victory jinx that has plagued all Yardling stickmen since lacrosse has been a first-year sport. The men will be under the tutelage of Norman Blottner 1L, who, last year, was elected to the Honorable Mention list of the All-American lacrosse team.
