Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Sweeping a Princeton powerhouse from its path, Jack Barnaby's squash aggregation boosted its total to five straight intercollegiate victories by a 4 to 3 score on Saturday.
The win over the Tiger climaxed a successful Varsity weekend which also featured a 6 to 2 downing of Penn on Friday afternoon. Previous triumphs over Williams, Dartmouth, and M.I.T. account for the Crimson's impressive record.
Barnaby's racquetmen played remark able ball in taming the Tiger on his own stamping ground. Although number one man Gene Nickerson dropped his match to Charlie Brinton, his opponent is the winner of the recent Invitation Intercollegiate Championship and ranks as one of the best amateur players.
Sonny Lyell came from behind after losing his first two games to Johnny Humes, finally upsetting the runner-up to Brinton last Christmas with a tremendous finish. Princeton copped the third and fourth matches when Terry defeated Galen Felt, and Stan Pearson, champion of two years ago, stopped Stretch Baker.
Marvin Takes Match
Captain Don Marvin, playing the number five slot, whipped Princeton's Wellington, in what Barnaby called, "the best win I can remember for Don." Decker Orr and Sandy Parker easily won their sixth and seventh place matches.
The Penn match at Philadelphia, although well played, showed the effects of the long ride, as the home team leaders Horace Hill and Tom Tyler upset Nickerson and Lyell respectively. The remainder of the Crimson men swept their contests.
In both this and the Princeton meet, Doug Cochrane won informal matches, and at Penn, Parker also took his unofficial game.
The lone squash weekend defeat resulted from the Freshman match with Exeter Saturday afternoon at Exeter. The home team swept the contest 5 to 0.
Squash activities during last week began Tuesday with a Varsity A team 4 to 1 conquest of the Tennis and Racquet Club. The B team lost to the University Club on Wednesday.
