CONANT TO TESTIFY TODAY BEFORE SENATE COMMITTEE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

President Conant will testify at 10 o'clock this morning as the first Administration witness to appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in favor of the Lend-Lease Bill, the President's office stated yesterday.

Invited more than a week ago to testify on the bill, President Conant heard last Friday from Committee Chairman Senator Walter F. George, of Georgia, that the Senate group would like to hear him this morning.

Tuesday evening President Conant will speak at Yale along with President Seymour in a symposium on "The University and National Defense." He expects to return here Wednesday.
