With a turnout of four hundred players in prospect, the annual House squash tournaments will start this week and next. Intra-House matches got under way yesterday, but the inter-House play will not begin until next Monday.
The teams, which will be made up of those who finish well in their House matches, will play until the middle of February, at which time the winning House will be awarded the Bernard S. Prentice trophy.
Players are divided into four leagues, A, B, C, and D, according to their ability. Kirkland, last year's winner, expects to have another strong team, but will be pressed by Adams and Lowell.
Starting after Christmas, the Freshmen will have an informal tournament. Matches will be played during each squash period and play-off will be held for the championship.
