As their part in the University defense set-up, both Military and Naval ROTC prepared to serve in case of air raids, with the distribution yesterday of memorandums explaining the students' duties in the event of attack.
Mil Set students will take part in such tasks as protection of University property, the roping off of damaged areas, control of crowds, and the suppression of panie. Since they have not had the specialized training in ARP worn necessary to take on air wardens' duties, Mil Set men will be used by the University more as an unofficial police force.
Members of the Naval unit will stand by to assist the regular air raid precaution personnel in order to protect U. S. Navy property here.
