Yardling Hockey Team Opposes Belmont Hill

Six Seeks Third Straight Victory in Boston Battle

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A Yardling sextet which has won its first two starts by convincing margins goes after its third victim this afternoon when the Hoddermen meet Belmont Hill School at the Boston Skating Club at 2:30 o'clock.

In their two previous encounters, the Freshmen have tallied 11 goals, downing Framingham High School 6 to 1, and trimming Mt. St. Charles Academy 5 to 1. For Belmont Hill, today's battle will be the first of the year, so the opposition shapes up as an unknown quantity.

Coach Clark Hodder plans to start the same six which has lined up for the face-off in both previous games: Art Lee, Tom Ayres, and Bill Whittington on the forward line, Dick Mechem and Paul Coste, both of whom scored unassisted goals on solo sprints against Mt. St. Charles, at the defense posts, and Jim Summers in the goal mouth.

Also sure to see plenty of action this afternoon are Ned Harding, who has scored two goals, and the '45 brother act, Bill and Steve Glidden.
