Vern Miller, who was scheduled to referee a charity wrestling match for British War Relief this evening in Mechanics Building in Boston, has decided to abandon the plan because he fears that his amateur standing might be endangered.
Undefeated as a Freshman grappler, Miller last year was handicapped by a bad ankle, which kept him on the bench for several meets.
Varsity heavyweight on last year's team, Vern hasn't seriously taken up wrestling yet this season and didn't participate in the team's opener against MIT on Saturday.
