Dick Gifford, captain elect and left inside forward on the Crimson soccer team, was put on the first team of a New England Intercollegiate all-star team chosen yesterday by George M. Collins, soccer editor of the Boston Globe. Harvard placed fifth behind Springfield, Amherst. Dartmouth, and Yale in the New England Intercollegiate League from which Collins chose his all-star team.

Collins placed "Herky" Herskovitz at the right outside forward berth on his all-star second team; and Ward Slingerland, Mort Myerson, and Olie Taylor received honorable mention.

"Gifford is one of those boys who make plays'" said Collins. Collins also stated that, "Herskovitz was brilliant in some games."
