Torchlight Parade To Precede Speeches

One of Harvard's greatest football players--Ben Ticknor--may speak at tonight's football rally in the Varsity Club Quadrangle if Cheerleader Bill Young's plans materialize.

Ben Ticknor, was one of the greatest centers in America, was made All-American for two years in a row, and almost single handed upset Yale 13 to 0 after a lackluster season for Harvard.

In addition to the possible appearance of Ben Ticknor, Coach Harlow, Captain Franny Lee, blocking back George Heiden, backfield coach Al McCoy, and sportswriter George Carens of the Traveler are definitely scheduled to speak.

The rally itself, to be patterned after the one preceding the Dartmouth game, will get under way when a torchlight parade, led by the band, will wend its way through the Yard to the steps of the Varsity Club at 7 o'clock. A warm-up for tonight's festivities was given last night in the new Lecture Hal when more than 500 students listened to Jayvee Coach Henry Lamar comment on the movies of he Princeton and Dartmouth games. Plans are under way to show other movies of coming games later on in the month.
