Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Inviting one, two or three Harvard men to a dance is nothing compared to the mass dating done by Marilyn Whisman, pretty blond Radcliffe Freshman, who in the last two days has asked a sum total of 300 upperclassmen to the Eliot House Fall Dance.
She's the owner of that enticing voice, Harvard undergraduates have heard when they answered their phones the last few evenings. "Hello Darling," she croons, "I know you'll think I'm awful for calling, but I just had to tell you that Rolly Rogers, whom we heard at the Bermuda Terrace is going to be at the Eliot House Dance this Saturday. We simply must go, why everybody will be there Oh thank you, dear."
Responses to her plea were varied in enthusiasm and comment according to the instigators of the plot. One eager Sophomore begged her to wait just a minute, "while I get a pencil and paper. And can I take you?" he questioned the sweet-voiced miss.
One Bellboy showed great relief when he discovered it was only a put up job. "I had a conversation just like that with my girl last week," he confessed, Other a were too startled or indifferent to do more than drop the receiver, while one Deacon burst out with. "You utter thing."
Marilyn's only remark was. "It's been fun, but I would have liked to hear some of the answers." Her only kick against Harvard men was that she "hates to have them say Wellesley girls are popular and cute, and Radcliffe girls such students drips. They're not all, you know," she added with a wink.
