Competition for the Freshman hockey managership will begin tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the H.A.A. offices under the Union. An estimated 20 Yardlings will be on hand for the start of the six week tryout period which will give one of them the post of Freshman manager and his major numerals.
The winner and the runner-up, who will have the post of assistant '45 manager, will be in complete charge of the game with the Yale Freshmen early in March. These two men and three others will be invited to return next year to compete for the Varsity managership.
William F. Haneman '42, Varsity manager, warned yesterday that there is room for only a few more applicants since the number of competitors must be kept down to insure a fair trial for everyone. He has set Friday's meeting as the deadline.
