French Films Will Be Given Again This Year

Contrary to reports circulated last year, the French Talking Films committee has not slipped into oblivion but is scheduling an ambitious list of pictures for the coming year.

Under the chairmanship of Mrs. Edward K. Rand, who has brought French movies to Harvard for many years, and who was awarded the Legion of Honor two years ago for her work, the monthly series will open October 16 and 17 with the showing of "Sarajevo."

Since naturally no films made since the invasion are available, the committee has contacted agents in New York who still have a goodly supply on hand of pictures released directly before the war and during the war before the invasion.

While no definite schedule has yet been arranged, one of the best-known titles which will be exhibited is "Trois St. Cyr," a story about the "West Point" of France. "Sarajevo" deals with the inside story of Archduke Ferdinand's assassination.

Tickets to the movies are free, and may be secured in Robinson Hall. The theater is in the Institute of Geographical Exploration on Divinity Avenue.
