19 APPOINTMENTS FILL OUT FACULTY

Nineteen appointments to the Harvard teaching and research staff, effective this year, were announced today as follows:

Hajo Holbern, professor of History at Yale University as visiting lecture on History.

Campbell B. Beard, assistant professor of political Science at Brown University, as visiting instructor in Government and tutor.

Corwin Edwards, of Washington. D.C., chairman of Policy Board, Anti-Trust Division, U. S. Department of Justice as visiting lecturer on Economics.

Norbert A. Wilhelm, superintendent of the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, as lecturer on Public Health Practice.

William V. Knoll, of the Robert B. Green Memorial Hospital, San Antonio, Texas, as Lucius N. Littauer Fellow in Pathology at the Collis P. Huntington Memorial Hospital.

Edward J. Welch of Milton, Massachusetts, as assistant medical adviser; M.D. Harvard '36.

Rolph Singer, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, as research associate in Mycology, Farlow Herbarium; Dr. Biol. Leningrad '40.

Charles A. Federer, Jr., of New York N. Y., as teaching fellow in Astronomy; B.S. College of the City of New York '36.
