President Conant, who shared speaking honors with President Baxter, compared the tranquil scene at Adams's informal dinner with a similar dinner at Trinity College, in Cambridge, England. These students were given books with a special Adams House Binding and a bookplate saying "this book is awarded by the associates of the House for his notable achievement in scholarship."
